The Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) is a state university, situated in the city of Limassol offering pre-graduate and graduate programs in engineering and health sciences among other fields. The Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) and the CUT have established an international research and education initiative for environmental and public health, i.e., the Cyprus International Institute for Environmental and Public Health in association with the Harvard School of Public Health (CII). The CII brings together researchers, educators, and health practitioners from Harvard, Cyprus and the Mediterranean region to address environmental and public health issues, including those relating to water. The Water and Health program of the CII is responsible for educational, research and outreach activities measuring contaminant exposures by humans within various stages of the water cycle in the Eastern Mediterranean. The Water and Health research program of the CII is directed by Dr. Konstantinos Makris who will be the coordinator of the work package related to research component of this project.
